The winners of the Newbery and Caldecott Medals and the Printz Award were announced last week by the American Library Association. These are like the Oscars of the children's book world and we librarians eagerly await the winners every year!
The Newbery is awarded to the author of a children's book and this year's winner is The Higher Power of Lucky by Susan Patron. (Click on the links below to go to each award's official site)
