Today I'm visiting Outlook Pointe, one of the local assisted living facilities, to deliver audiobooks for the residents! I'm very excited about this new service the library is able to offer! The collection is made up of donations the library has received but cannot use, and that are in good shape. The residents are looking forward to these books on cassette and CD, since reading has become difficult for some of them, and some can't make it to the library. After they've had a chance to borrow some, the collection will be rotated to another facility.
Do you have some audiobooks laying around that you're finished with? Donate them to the library!!! As long as they are in good shape (no scratches on the CDs, etc.), the library can use them, either for our collection or to loan to assisted living residents! No matter where they end up, you'll make someone's day!
